About Rival Bear

Rival Bear is a software studio in California’s Sierra Nevada. It makes three apps.

Yonder is a GPS tour guide for road trips: it watches where you are and tells you what happened there, out loud if you want. It reads Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap, and GeoNames, so it is not inventing history. It is in closed testing on iOS right now.

Twiggybank is an allowance bank: kids practice payday and interest with pretend money on books that stay exact, and they sign in without an email account. It is available on the web today.

Balance Point is a weight app for iPhone: it reads through the daily ups and downs, carries across missed days, and treats a goal date as a range. It is in development, and TestFlight comes first.

The name is older than the apps. Rival Bear began as a blog, and that era lives in The Chase.
